We tested the game using the 64-bit executable under and DirectX 10 with the 1.21 patch applied. We used a custom timedemo recorded on the Harbor map which is more representative of gameplay than the built-in benchmark that renders things much faster than you're going to experience in game.
For our testing, we set all the settings to medium with a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050, where both anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering were set to 0x.

Frames Per Second - higher is better
The performance of the Patriot memory is good on the EVGA board but drops off on the Asus - even the Elixir at low latency settings outperforms it by a fraction of a frame per second on the Asus board. All the DDR3 DIMMs are faster than the DDR2 at 1,066MHz C5, but it's not a huge performance increase by any means.

We used the full retail version of the game patched to version 1.5 and recorded a timenetdemo on the Valley level which lasts for several minutes during an online game – this used lots of the different graphical effects to create what we've deemed to be a fairly typical slice of action to stress the system. We also created a custom autoexec file that enabled ultra high video settings, over and above that of the standard in game "high", while soft particles was left disabled for the time being. The resolution was set to 1,920 x 1,200 with anti-aliasing set to 0x and anisotropic filtering set to 16x.

Frames Per Second - higher is better
Compared to the EVGA performance, the DDR2 on an Intel P45 tops everything by half a frame per second. Generally though, there's very little difference in performance and with Corsair memory at its stock speeds mixing it up with heavily overclocked memory from G.Skill and Patriot it's clear memory performance does very little for
ET:QW at the highest settings possible. On the Asus X48 however all the DDR3 memories outperform the DDR2 overall, except for the Corsair, with the Elixir surprisingly topping the table but by just 0.1 fps.

For our testing purposes, we used a full retail copy of the game and patched it to version 1.007, which includes a few fixes and some improved performance under DirectX 10. We used a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 and the "very high" present that sets anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering both to 4x.

Frames Per Second - higher is better
Again, memory performance does little for gaming in
World in Conflict where the whole field is split by a single frame per second and just a couple of fps in the minimums. Generally the Patriot and Elixir have come out slightly slower here, but it's an unnoticeable amount just like with
ET:QW.
